Is it worth complaining to Barclaycard about this?

I'm an existing Barclaycard customer.

In July, I received a balance transfer promotional letter, offering a 6.9% transfer.

I took this up in the last week of July. Two days after it was effected, I received a new offer, giving a 0% transfer rate.

I'm kicking myself over this, so annoying. Is it worth the time/aggravation do you think, of phoning Barclaycard and asking them to put me onto the 0% rate instead? I think they'll just shrug and refer me to the terms and conditions.

Can't you just switch again?

MrsBertMacklin · 04/08/2013 13:06

No, I've switched the balance on my other card to my existing Barclaycard, so I don't think that's possible.

Sorry but I don't think there's much you can do about it - it's a bit like buying something in a sale with 25% off and seeing it advertised a week or so later at 75%off.

Salvatore, that's the analogy I was reaching for when trying to explain why I thought it would probably be not worth arguing with them about it, thanks. Bloody aggravating though.

Is the 6.9% offer for the life of the transfer though, & the 0% for a limited period like 9 months so you have to either pay it off or transfer it again when it runs out?

if so the 6.9% deal isn't bad.

also I assume there would be a 3% charge for doing the 0% thing. was there a similar charge for the 6.9%?
