Quoted Internet price for holiday

If a price for a holiday displays online as £1700, then when you go to pay it comes up as £3000, where do I stand in terms of consumer rights?

I have phone the holiday company who are saying its a system glitch, but when they do it on the phone they can't price match apparently :( how do I get this holiday at the initial quoted price?

You can't.

Even if you'd paid, if it was an obvious error, they can cancel the transaction. Now that you've spoken to them and they've confirmed it is a system glitch to you, they'd easily be able to show that you were aware that it was incorrect.

The best you can do really is complain and hope that they'll knock something off the price for you, or throw in something for free. They probably won't reduce it by almost half, though.

They are saying the system glitch is I am being charged for 4 adults instead of 2 adults and 2 children, and this error occurs when I click to the last screen. This seems really rubbish to me :( x

What do they quote on the phone? Tis happened to me with kuoni. But it turned out the flights included with the cheaper price had gone, and I had to fly BA instead which was more expensive hence the change in price.

Can you take a screen shot of the page with 1700

RudolphLovesoftplay · 03/08/2013 19:37

I have taken a screen shot, of all the pages you click through. It just seems such a shit reason :( although they have phoned back now to say its actually loads if holidays that are affected, so at least it's not just me!!
