Just separated and unable to agree with STBX re child maintenance payments, I was wondering if someone could tell me whether I'm in the wrong here....
I moved out of the family home on the 15th May with DC. STBX stayed put until the 31st May when the sale of the house went through and then he moved out.
He gets paid on the 15th each month so I proposed that he pays child maintenance on that day to make things easier for him. I also suggested that he doesn't start paying until the family home is sold on the 31st so it's easier financially for him.
I am now requesting him to pay half the monthly amount (agreed privately, no CSA involved so far) for the period 1-15th May and he is refusing. I have had the 3DC with me for the last eighteen days too (he's staying with DB until mid month) so he hasn't even looked after them the agreed days.
AIBU to expect that he pays for the half month (and should be a whole month as I moved on the 16th) and that payments are made at the beginning of the months?
