not paid, no

well... not as far as I know anyway.
why would the mum not want to be with her newborn baby?

TopBanana · 02/05/2006 12:29

She has been offered a job with training with a 12 month contract and didn't know whether to leave the dad look to after the baby for 6 months.

Crazy I know Smile

Not legally yet - can take up to thirteen weeks' unpaid parental leave in the first five years, which could be taken in one block but employer not obliged to allow this.

Thanks elliot. Unpaid wouldn't be an option for her I don't think. She'd just heard from someone that you could give leave to your dh if you needed to.
