DH's motorbike licence plate has been nicked
Can't claim on the insurance for a new one but should we report it anyway?

i would definetly- if it has been taken by someone dodgy it may be used in a robbery of something. cant see if could be taken for anything else unless it just fell off.

LilacBump · 01/05/2006 19:38

yes, report it in case someone uses it in crime.

Yes - we have had ours nicked twice. Dh had to get new ones made up quickly as he was driving somewhere for work and on the other side of the country, he got pulled over but the police becasue they spotted the number plate - they checked it was his car and his details, but this was 1 day after it was reported - they are on the ball. I was reassured.

once the police came to my house at 6am - they had come to arrest me for a robbery from a petrol station but then saw my car outside with no plates on!!! You have to laugh - WE had to pay for the new ones which i thought a bit tight.

NAO - the police nce turned up at our house at 6am to return our stolen licence plates which had been found by a roadside. Great service Wink, but couldn't it have bloody waited till morning? I've seldom had a fright like it Angry
