Euro bank account - anyone got one?

I'd like to start saving a monthly amount of money into a euro bank account so that when we go to France in the summer, I don't pay charges every time I take money out with my Smile card. I can't find any information on how or where to open a Euro account. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Better option might be to use a specific card with low charges for Euro withdrawals - check moneysavingexpert.com

I doubt you'll save much by having a euro account as the charges are for using foreign cash machines rather than for currency exchange (I think). a cheaper option might be a french bank account.
