Bl**dy Banks F€cking up house completion!!!!

We are supposed to be completing on our house today, my parents are buying the house as an investment and we are going to rent from them. They live in Ireland and arranged for the cash to transfer to the English bank yesterday for completion today. Their bank is a regional one and duly sent the transfer (marked urgent) first thing yesterday morning to the Dublin bank.

And the F€CKING DUBLIN bank diddn't send it!!! They are sending it now-ish but they were very busy apparantly FFS!!! Completion is supposed to be at 1pm so it depends how fast the english bank will process it now.

I am fuming Angry

I know it will be there today and things will probably be allright but this is just a huge unessasary stress that we don't need today. My aged parents are on a plane atm really worried that they could be sued for breach of contract! (unlikely I know but still)

Angry. Threaten the bank with funding any penalty !

Carmenere · 19/04/2006 11:40

That's a good idea Liz, I will. I mean it's not like they are doing us any favours, they are charging us through the nose for the transfer and the exchange and who get the interest for yesterday and the difference in exchange rate!

In these days of electronic transfers, there really shouldn't be any problem if the Dublin bank has only sent the money today.

I understand the stress it is causing, but please take a deep breath and calm down. Everything will be fine.
