Is there a way of doing this? Does it cost much? I'm sure I was told once that if you check you record too often it damages your record does anyone know if that is true?
Thanks

You can sign up to something like Experian, hand over payment details, get the report and then cancel your subscription straight away. Checking your credit rating does not harm your credit rating.

You checking your own report will do you no harm, in fact it may prove beneficial if it highlights discrepancies. As Cog says , sign up for initial report then cancel. If I remember rightly Check My File will give you a report from the 3 main credit referencing agencies.
