Anyone have a good budgeting/ money planner app?

I would like something that I could enter all our income and outgoings into and 'drag' them onto catergories so at the end of the month I know how much we've spent on groceries for eg.

Thanks!

Hi NickNacks

Which one did you get and would you recommend it so far (well, in your 24hours of using it!!)?

tribpot · 28/12/2012 12:24

I'm a massive fan of You Need A Budget. Not the cheapest offering on the market but backed up with a method that keeps you much more proactively managing your budget than just reconciling at month end.

I did a thread about personal finance software last year - it was specific to the Mac so might not be so much use to you. Many people - including me for many years - swear by Microsoft Money, which is still available as a 'sunset edition'.

Same as tribpot I haven't found an adequate replacement yet for Microsoft Money 'Deluxe Sunset Edition'... free download. Really good for forecasting cashflow which prevents all those 'whoops' expensive accidental overdrawns...

I used the moneysavingexpert one. Its good as it divides all costs to give you a monthly expenditure. Also it encourages you to put down stuff you might forget, such as holiday spending, presents, haircuts etc
