Halifax credit card PPI

Halifax confirmed I had PPI on two credit cards, I told them I must have been mis sold as I had no idea that I even had it so would never have been able to claim. They have come back and said that although I had it they cannot find the evidence to suggest that it was mis sold. Can they just say that? What should I do now? Please, any advice would be very much appreciated :-))

Contact the financial ombudsman directly. Don't go through a poi company. They will chase it for you and get your money.
