We paid an 'Endowment Recovery' company 2 lots of £399 to deal with 2 failing endowment policies. After regular chasing up we receieved the money from one failing policy but he ahsn't done anyhting about the second policy.
I leave him messages both on his office number and his mobile number but he no longer returns them! Angry
We would like to recover the £399 via the small claims court but we have no idea how to go about this.

Can anyone give us any advice please?

If you get in touch with your local court they will have leaflets taking you through the procedure. I used to work for a recruitment company and we regularly took companies to small claims court when they took on staff but refused to pay the agency fee Shock and we never lost a case! I did all the paperwork for it.

As long as you follow the procedure to the letter and set out the case very clearly then it will be worth it from your point of view - £400 is a lot to lose and the cost of small claims is relatively low. Good luck.

You can do it all online, don't even need to go to court, I think.

I did an online small claim yesterday for non payment of a website I built. I can't advice about your case but here is a link for doing small claims online. I've had to pay £30 for the service but added it to the customers bill!

Good idea, I did that and mentioned small claims court before actually doing the online claim.

Good luck :)

Well mine worked - got a cheque this morning and it included the £30 fee I had to pay so as long as the cheque clears ok, it will have cost me nothing in the end! :)
