To Euro or not to Euro at the moment

Ok so as mumsnetters know everything. I went to the Post Office today and changed some money in euros for the kids spending money at the end of term. So I know 6 weeks early but I was trying to get organised!.

Should I have done this now? Shall I take it back and get my pounds back and wait 5 weeks? Will the Euro go completely mad and my pound be worth 100s of Euros instead of 1.2?

Any idiot proof wording of help would be lovely.

Thank you Smile

If anyone knew the real answer to your question they would be skipping off into the sunset, rich as Croesus. I keep track of the Euro as part of my job and I'm working on the £ staying in the ?1.23 - ?1.28 region between now and December. Could be wrong, of course. :)

Anything could happen. You might be glad you changed it early or you might wish you'd waited. Can't see that it will move much unless Greece goes back to the Drachma. Then it might be chaos.

Thank you, I knew there wasn't really an definate answer but I just didn't want to be told that I was completely in the wrong and I'd missed something somewhere saying that don't change any money!!!!

Thank you Smile
