MrMiaou · 21/02/2006 17:19

Just thought that it might be useful if I posted these numbers up for anyone having problems with Tax Credits.

01772-235327
01772-235470
01772-232975

These are numbers of Tax Credit "directors" who cannot access clients cases but will take details and get replies.

There is a team dedicated to dealing with calls to these numbers, the lines are manned between 8.30am and 5.00pm.

Please if you call be nice, these folks will actually try and help you!!

thank you for that info Mrmiaou.
Mummytosteven was going to post for me this evening..I dont want to tempt fate..but...they may have sorted my claim out...
I phoned again, one last ditch attempt as im feeling a bit rough and couldnt face driving into cambridge, this time i got through to a lovely man, his names wayne and hes in team 21 in case anyones interested...i explained everything, cried down the phone etc and he said, they are not allowed to reject a claim after only 2 days, they are supposed to contact you asking for the missing info and if you dont respond, then they reject your claim...so he said what had happened was the computer couldnt read dd1's date of birth and immediately rejected my claim which it shouldnt have, so he said he would put ut straight back in as an inaccurate rejection and mark it urgent+, he said ring in a day or 2 for progress report, he also told me that if you have a claim stopped for whatever reason, they can just re-instate it over the phone, but they dont make it common knowlefdge.
rang today and was told, tax credit award notice is on its way, and i should be paid on thursday...fingers crossed, touch wood etc, i will only get excited if the money appears on thurs..i will keep you all posted{tentative emoticon}

spacecadet · 21/02/2006 18:14

if the money doesnt appear on thursday though, will definately be ringing one of those numbers.

mummytosteven · 21/02/2006 18:51

HellyBelly · 22/02/2006 18:44

Oh yes, I'll be trying these numbers - I've had no end of problems since my ds was born nearly 3 years ago! I even missed out on the whole first years payments and they refuse to pay it!

Good luck Spacey!

heavenis · 24/02/2006 09:12

Spacecadet

What happened have you got anything yet ?

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 09:50

update here

mummytosteven · 24/02/2006 09:52

Thank f*ck for that!

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 09:56

MTS!!!!

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 09:56

would have rung you yesterday MTS but was rushed off my feet, had loads to catch up on yesterday.

mummytosteven · 24/02/2006 09:58

I assumed no news must mean good news

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 10:00

the fact that you didnt get a hysterical phone you mean??
i seem to have got behind myself at the mo, my house is a tip and i feel run down, i tried to catch up on it yesterday but dd cried all day and was really clingy, she was up all night last night too[tired emoticon]

mummytosteven · 24/02/2006 10:02

give yourself a break re:the house. I know it's not going to do itself, and you are very house proud, but the important thing is to get yourself as healthy as possible, rather than the house as clean as possible. DS is being ultra clingy at the moment too - they go through the weirdest phases...

mummytosteven · 24/02/2006 10:03

had a wicked thought - could you bribe DD to do more around the house if you gave her extra time on MSN

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 10:04

i know- i think its the coming up to the terrible twos.
i know i should leave the house, but its an absoloute bombsite, theres a weeks washing on top of the tumble drier to be sorted and the kids have no clean clothes..sigh

spacecadet · 24/02/2006 10:06

i had thought of that too MTS!!
Shes going to cambridge tomorrow with her boyfriend though, her own room is a tip though, bedsheets on the floor, curtains not even opened!
