When should I get a tax credit renewal form?

I'm fairly new to this whole tax credit business and it confuses the life out of me! We've been getting tax credits for over a year now and lately a lot of my friends have mentioned that there's have gone up or down etc. My payments have gone up slightly but I've had no notifications and no renewal form, should I contact HMRC and ask for one?

If your payments have gone up since April then you've got a new award. HMRC tend to assume that your income has stayed at the same level until you tell them otherwise either via the renewal form or verbally. However, if you have not received any documentation whatsoever, you should probably contact the HMRC tax credit helpline 0345 300 3900 and make sure that they have your contact details correct.

I got mine yesterday but the last day for sending them out is June 17th I think.

Thanks! I'll give them a call just to be on the safe side. I'll have to wait til I get half a day to spare though :(
