Anyone had problems with Lloyds re: PPI claims on credit cards?

Hi Everyone,

I think my husband has a valid claim for misold PPI insurance on an avios credit card (issued in 2009), BUT, lloyds aren't cooperating at all! We have verbally requested our original T&Cs for the card four times over the past 6 weeks, and have recently sent a letter including a cheque for £1 a nd asking for the terms under the credit consumer act (as recommended by moneysavingexpert), still waiting for a response...

Lloyds have a PPI helpline BUT they want you to tell them what you think might be the reasons for the miselling of PPI before they start the process. As I think there might be two reasons in our case I want to make sure I have a clear idea of both before I submit the claim - just to make sure our case is watertight.

Just wondered how anyone else got on with similar? Did you ever get any info from Lloyds or did they stonewall you until you gave up?

Thanks mumsnetters.

I would give the Lloyds helpline the two reasons you think the claim is valid and let them sort out whether one or both apply. The MoneySavingExpert site has a really good guide and some template letters. Once claims are in the system, very few seem to be rejected.
