Budget Calculator

According to the above, our household will be £30/year better off. How will yours be affected?

reckons I will be £500 better off but I think there is something wrong somewhere!!

TheCunningStunt · 23/03/2012 13:50

Apparently £400 a year better off. Very much not true. Dp is in the third year of a pay freeze, everything else costs more. So we re worse off there. Also it assumes we get tax credits...we do not.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 23/03/2012 14:33

You can work out by elimination which elements are costing more and which you're paying less for. Would have thought it bases tax credits on the income figure you put in.

277 better off. Yay! THanks george

We do qualify for them, or we did. But they overpaid us in 2010 so they stopped them last year to repay what we owed. And they sent a letter saying dp earns to much to get them nowConfused though might apply again and see.

Worse off, because we will lose tax credits this year, just. We think. Probably.

Tranquilidade · 23/03/2012 21:04

We're £100 better off but as I work for the NHS my pay is frozen so it won't go far. Having said that we are a lot better off than some others so it's ok

boringnamechange · 23/03/2012 21:26

£690 better off yet tax credit calculator thinks I'll be £45 a month worse off. Trying not to panic about it all but feel we will screwed one way or another.
