Friend in a panic about tax credits.

A friend just phoned me to ask how she may be affected by these changes so i thought id ask here to see if anyone might know.
She works 16 hours a week in a supermarket and gets middle rate care DLA and lower help with getting around DLA. She is single with no kids. She is wondering if/how the changes to working tax credits will affect her.
Thanks.

There's a calculator here

CogitoErgoSometimes · 19/03/2012 07:08

That calculator is a year out of date (2011) unfortunately. The changes that come in from April 2012 are summarised by HMRC here. On April 6th the HMRC tax credit calculator will be updated. Shortly before that date the Turn2Us Benefits Calculator will also be updated. Suggest she keeps an eye on the latter and runs her details through it. She may be entitled to other help of which she isn't aware.

Oh, ok cog it says on the disclaimer when starting the calculation that it's for 2012/2013 so I thought it had been updated already.

The Mumsnet calculator is not out of date Confused It's all updated for 2012/13
