cash invested for 7 year old

I have £300 to invest for my 7 yeasr old. Want best interst etc and not touched until at least 18. Ideas pleas, helpful mnetters!

put it in a tracker isa in your or DH's name (If you haven't used up your allowance)

a tracker ISA invests in the stock market (I would personally go for an all share index like Legal & General or Virgin)

funds can go up or down but over a decade you'd most probably beat any building society .. depends on your attitude to risk
