Hiya anyone know the answer to this question? I am going on adoption leave for 12 months and so will be claiming wftc. I know they calculate it on the previous years income so I know that I will get next to nothing ie £10 a month if that as I earn approx £30k per year. However my question is I know that you can inform them of a change of circumstance, if I tell them I will only be recieving satutory adoption pay for 39weeks which is £135 per week are they likely to increase my amount, even though the amount I earned the previous year will not have changed?
Thanks in advance

We did this with CTC. You complete the form with last years income, but then include a letter with an estimate of this years income. An entitlement letter came through based on last years amount, then this years a few weeks later.
