website telling you how much properties cost in each location

can anyone remember the name of the website(s) which let you type in a postcode/street name and find out how much properties have sold for in that street in the recent past? I know I used to use one which was free and it would be good to find that one again since I just want to run a quick check on whether something is too good to be true rather than do a lot of regular searching.

you can get actual prices for houses that have sold recently in a given location or within a distance from a postcode.

Thanks very much for speedy responses. As I say, only wanted to check one particular point but since there are so many possible sites maybe I will exercise my curiosity a little
