Does this happen once a year? I seem to remember reading it somewhere but not sure where.

yes, I think we get it twice monthly once or twice a year.

It's paid 4 weekly isn't it, so if the first couple of days of the month are your CB day then you'll get in again at the very end.

Yes, it gets paid every 28 days, so there is one month in the year when your payments will be in the same month. So if you got paid on 1st January, your next payment would be 29th January. It takes a while for the payment date to fall back to the first two/three days of the month, which would trigger the double month payment again.

If you're really anal like me you could put all the CB days on the calendar at the start of the year.

Last year it happened for me in December and this year its rolled back into November as I got a payment on the 1st and should get another on the 29th

Hiya I got my child benefit on the 03 dec 2018 and again on the 28th dec 2018 does anyone know when it will be due this year? I’m confused since I got it twice in one month.?

See above Beauty - it’s paid every 4 weeks (28 days). It was due 31st Dec so you had it paid a couple of days early on 28th. 4 weeks on from 31st Dec will be 28th Jan (Monday).
