I wouldn't advise doing a DIY will. A properly drafted will shouldn't cost more than about £50 and it is money well spent. If you do it wrong, it is those left behind who are left to sort out the mess.

I agree with Freckle - get one done properly - my mum has spent the last year sorting out my Grandmother's will - one of those 'by mail' jobs - but no better than DIY ones really - it wasn't done properly adn therefore wasn't valid . So instead of evertying being sorted out very quickly - it's only just been sorted out 2 weeks before Christmas- and my Gran died in October 2004.
