How much did it cost?

We had the electrians round today and they will be sending a quote but I feel I need to be ready for the worst!

How big is your house? Ours is v small (2 up 2 down) and we had a quote of £400. I know that's a very reasonable quote because our property developer friend reckoned that it would cost £500+.

My mum paid 3K this year

We have been quoted £3500 for ours! admit there is some other smaller jobs as well in the quote (ie adding more sockets etc).

We live in a 3 bed detached (although downstairs been extended twice so pretty big). but hell it certainly buck palace. We didn't think that this was too much - but am now wondering!!

We paid over four grand for ours (actually might have been closer to five) but we have a 4 bd, 2 bath detached and we did a lot of CAT5 cabling at the same time, also lots of extra sockets.
