Due to school and bank holidays the renewal letter has been sitting on my desk for a month so I need to make a decision whether to renew in the next four days!

Joint term life cover of £20,000 is £14.61 a month for 9 years

Disability benefit again joint, same amount same term £1.19

Am I right in thinking this sounds very expensive? What should I do (do I have time to do anything?)

Compare it here:

Thanks will give it a go - I have a month before the old one runs out, but need to let them know ASAP if I am not renewing.

Sounds quite a lot for basic life cover, but depends how old you are and whether you smoke or have any health problems.

Try a comparison website as already suggested.

Mid 40s, never smoked, rarely drink - they saw me coming didnt they!

Interestingly same company on the comparison site offering £100,000 for less money!

That sounds very expensive. Have a look at money saving expert www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/level-term-insurance

We did ours through www.cavendishonline.co.uk/life/
