Calling mobile no. in France - cheapest way?

Called from my landline and was shocked at the bill. What's cheapest way to call including phone cards or special numbers?

skype? some mobiles have skype so it would be worth while looking into

Have a look at the website 18185 as they are good for doing cheap rates to other countries for landlines so probably good for mobiles too. You only need to register with them and then dial a code before the actual telephone number you want and it does tell you at the time how much per min it will cost. You can then pay the bill by D/D, credit card etc.

yes, 18185 is brilliant - 1p a min usually & dead easy

you sign up with your landline number, dial 18185 before the number you want (that bit is v important) & they take payment from a designated account

actually DD2 has a BF in Dubai atm & has got a SIM card for ringing him more cheaply & that had cheap rates to France, will get a link for that
