Company not paying back money as promised

Company offered to give me back my deposit when I complained re them . Got Email stating will refund my credit card as they had incurred no loss ( I had complained the next day) A month has pased and no refund. Have contacted them again to be told left their bank on 28th March 2011 but they will organise bank transfer and their accounts will contact me Still nothing

Thanks for your reply.The matter has been with their Senior Customer Services since the start.Basically they have lied and they never intended to return my money.It was their idea to refund on credit card but they said sent a cheque which has disappeared, They never sent the cheque at all. this is a Ltd co and small. I will now have to take them to court

Tell your credit card company, they should sort it out for you (one of the benefits of using a credit rather than debit card to pay for things.)

Thanks but I have already done so.All they do is send emails asking for this no and that. They are pretty useless as far as I can see.Done nothing. I doubt they will help as they will be hoping to collect a profit from charges ie.if i do not pay they will just charge me interest I have the impression they are all in this together. Why? have you done this before with credit company?

Thank you Clouds of Witness. The credit card thing is over £100 as I checked well done. The problem is that with dumb companies like this they play it to the very last minute: the offer of returning money is designed to stall you in the hope that you will just forget.They have no intention of returning it till they have to.This co is convinced they are god's gift totally convinced and that they are so wonderful. Small claims court cost is 10% of value you are claiming: there are procedures and time limits to follow.I takes a long time but again with these types of companies they would hang it out till just before hearing: I think it is therefore better to negotiate with them first.But yes, if you win and they still do not pay they will have a CCJ making it diff to obtain credit etc plus bad publicity. Depends on case of course I can assure you we are all fedup with this co and wish we had never seen of heard of them

I have received my money back.Thanks guys Credit card co was useless. I will NEVER put large amount on cc again to a co I do not know.
