Temp xmas job..weekly paid, when will i get first pay packet ??

I start on 7th November and was wondering when I will get paid first.

Am trying to plan our money so we don't get in a mess over xmas.

If they pay weekly in arrears (likely) you will get your first pay at the end of the 2nd week.

Am i likely to get stopped emergency tax ??

I know i shouldn't be taxed as I will only earn around £90 a week, but I know sometimes when you start a new job they stop emergency tax.

You won't have a P45, so they will give you a P46 to complete, stating that this is your only job and that should mean you get a proper tax code straight away; but even if you have to pay emergency tax to begin with, if their payroll dept is efficient you should get a rebate before Christmas.
