How much is BT Line Rental?

After my apparent success with music and electricity...I am looing at my phone bill.

A lot of places say they are cheaper but you must keep your line with BT - how much is that?

Never mind after finding the BT line rental (boy do they hide it well) I'd be less than £1 better off with Tesco

exactly 42p a month better off - not worth the hassle

Sorry if this has been said elsewhere, but as you note, there's not much to be saved off the (£10.50?) a month BT charge for line rental. There are plenty of savings to be made over BT's call charges though, with companies like 18866 and 1899 . Both charge nothing for UK landline calls except a 3p connection fee.
