Seriously, Mary Portas would be so proud.
I just applied for their members credit card on line and was turned down (automatically. I don't have any income and it didn't give me the option of entering husband's or partner's income).
I called their customer service to ask how we could overcome this and they have bent over backwards to solve the issue. The chap I spoke to was polite, efficient, knew his stuff and apologised for what he didn't know and went and found it out

Although I currently still don't have my co-op visa card, hopefully by tomorrow I shall.
Well done co-op, that was customer service as it should be.
