About 850-950 a month? I used to be on that when I first qualified, but had unsocial hours on top, so think this would be about right.

I can tell you what it is on £14,000. It's £935/month.

Should be around £1000 then on £16,000.

nutcackle · 13/10/2005 20:46

Really £1000 is that all. Dp is on £14500 now and picks up £962 a month.

Assuming he will be entitled to his full annual tax free allowance of £4,895 and has no other income then I would say he should take home about £1,100.

Try this:

take home pay

nutcackle · 13/10/2005 20:50

Thanks, will see what he thinks. It's alot earlier start time than he does now so it's up to him i guess.

Thanks expat £1047 hmmmmmmmmmmm, spose the tax credits would drop though so doesn't seem much point.

You'd likely lose the Working Tax Credit entirely on £16,000. Unless, does your DH qualify for the disabled WTC? Or do you have kids who are disabled?

nutcackle · 13/10/2005 21:07

Nope no one disabled here. Your right we'd lose the working tax whioch amounts to £64, so we'd roughly be £20 a month better off

I'm on £16,926 and I take home £1,074 but I do pay £26 into a pension so I would think it'd be pretty much exactly £1,000 on £16k
