Was the baby element of CTC cut?

Is this right? I am newbie to all of this tax credits business and its so confusing!

I think if your baby was born after 5th April 2010 you get a reduction. This is what I read online from the Emergency Budget.

I am trying to work out our CTC and my its so confusing. I even called them and I am still none the wiser.
We have another little due later in the year so I gather we wont get the baby element of that CTC.

I used the calculator but I dont think either I did it right or it is right because if I based it on just DP's salary and me not going back to work we would get more than my salary if I did go back to work!

Any help would be great, thank you!

You should probably start with this link to understand the system. There's a link through to "New Baby... what tax credits are you entitled to"

The HMRC calculator site shows your estimated award up to April this year.
