Child Tax credits - form marked 'urgent' received. Help please

I have had form marked 'urgent' from the tax credit people today saying they want to know how many people live in the house. Surely they have got all this info already? (I do claim) so why would they suddenly urgently require more info?

Bit worried.

Maybe the electoral roll is saying something different.

What's the issue with filling in the form and sending it back? While they already have the information, they for whatever reason are needing to confirm that it is still the case.

No issue really. Just had friends who were told they were entitled to x amount and given it and then told there had been a mistake and had to pay it back. I just don't understand why they suddenly need more info they have already had for months.
