Airmiles credit card v using Tesco clubcard points

Hi all,

Just wanted your advice, we are planning (finances allowing - they may not!) to travel to Australia next year, Easter 2012, and my sister suggested we get an Airmiles credit card and spend everything on it to rack up airmiles for the visit. I have a Tesco credit card at the minute and always pay off the balance in full each month so I would have no problem putting everything on to a new credit card.

Has anyone been in this situation before and knows which would be the better way of collecting airmiles.

When the kids are in bed later I'll try and work out the sums properly.

Thanks a lot

Sorry meant to say that you can convert Clubcard points to Airmile, £2.50 = 50 airmiles with Tesco, I need 10,000 points for 1 flight to Sydney. Gulp.
