Have been paying £24.99/mth for 2mb broadband for about a year, I recieved my bill this morning and saw that NTL had reduced my payments to £17.99 and I was on 1mb broadband, I phoned them and the man said that on the 22nd august a speed check was done and I was only on 1mb and not 2mb so my bill has been reduced. I asked how long I had been on 1mb, and he couldn't tell me that, there is no way of finding out either. Anyway he has put me on a special deal where I get 1mb of £9.99 but it appears I have been overpaying for a year!! And I will only have NTL broadband till dec. when I move as the new house has no NTL lines, so I am not going to get the money back

Call again, ask for a supervisor, be polite and firm and insist on a full refund as it was obvious you had never been on 2mb. They will crumble before you do!

Haven't noticed a changed in speed, so I am guessing I have always been on 1mb and not 2mb.
