Broken Phone Equipment...what are my rights

I bought a phone on 23rd April from Comet

It's broken, I just argued with an idiot at the call centre (who was very rude) about speaking to the store

I need to know if they are going to mend the broken bits (take 2 to shop) or replace it (take 4 to shop)

What are my rights? after only 4 months I would expcet a phone to last quite a bit longer

Usually you return it to the store if it's knackered in the first 12 months (with the receipt) and they will just replace it, no questions asked. I'd try that.

That's what I thought - but this idiot just said they would repair it

Just rang again and spoke to a lovely chap who said take it back and we will replace - no problem

So I'm waiting for a manager to ring so I can complian
