basically there is a real risk that peters DLA will stop when he has a transplant. which means we wont have a car, he will reaplly for it, but again there is a possibility he wont get it again.

we cant be without a car.

Yes they will take car off you in a matter of days but they will offer to sell it to you at a discounted price

arses, will they let us re-apply? the 1st year after tranplant is pretty heavey going.

Surely they don't stop DLA immediately after transplant? There must be a recuperation period then reassessment?

If you lose DLA you will lose the car tho', your lease of the car is secured on your DLA.

misdee · 06/09/2005 22:44

letter states 'as soon as you have your transplant please inform us'

but Misdee, surely that means they will then ask for a re-assessment, not just that they will stop the DLA.

Why not ring and ask them?

quite possibly they wil lask for reassessment, but i dont want to get caught out. wonder how much they will off us the car for?

say peter gets his transplant next spring, the car will be 1 year old, its a nissan tino.
