Is child benefit paid monthly or every 4 weeks?

I can't understand why the balance in my account looks slightly healthier than it should do and just worked out (maths not being my strongest point ) that if child benefit is paid 4 weekly rather than monthly then I get a whole extra payment a year! I know the tax credits work on this basis but not sure about child benefit.

yep 4 weekly, it was great got our double payment in June

every 4 weeks, unless you are on benefits then the bloody sods will pay it weekly
as i could do with it being weekly but they wont let us as were on tax credits not benefits
