1 carat diamond ring...what's it worth?

Hi bit of a long shot on here probably.

I have a 1 carat (certified/certificated??) diamond ring.

Was hanging on to it but now need the cash!

Any ideas what it might fetch and the best way to sell it?

Thanks

Its value depends on the colour, clarity and cut of the diamond as well as the setting.
You really need to take it a jeweler who will quickly and easily be able to give you a valuation.

Cut, colour and clarity will set the price more than the setting. They're buying the stone after all. There's not point trying to guess a price off a retailer as their mark up is massive. If you're in London, try Hatton Gardens. It's mostly retail but they may be able to guide you.

It was hand made for me locally (in SW)

I remember at the time, the chap commenting on the fact it was a very nice quality diamond.

I might take it back to him and see what he can do.

Thanks all

Size is only a tiny part of the value I'm afraid you need to get (morethan1)valuation

You won't get in cash close to any valuation I'm afraid.

Put it into an auction?
