Tax credit renewal through the post, how do you know it's got there on time?

Did you send it recorded delivery?

They will not stop your payments if it arrives on the 1st trust me. Last year I thought I had renewed and I hadn't I had just changed my circumstances and in the middle of August noticed my payments had stopped. I rang them on the 22nd August and they renewed for me then. She said I was lucky that I didn't have to make a new claim but trust me as long as its not a week later then the 31st you'll be fine.

I didn't send it recorded, I sent it in the enclosed envelope. It was sent on Monday morning so I hope it's there.
