Tax xredits (again yes I know, sorry) please explain this one to me

How do they work this out? Changed bank accounts so have been issued with a new notice. All income details the same as before and they've said I'll get nearly double in this month's payment! How can this be due to the fact I've only changed bank accounts?

I'm so shocked it's affected my spelling of credits [embarrassed]

They've probably overpaid you. Phone them up and make a note of the date/time you called and whom you spoke with. Don't spend the money - they'll ask for it back, IME.

Perhaps they'll miss a payment whilst sorting it out.
