Natural miscarriage seems to be stopping - what do I do next?

Had scan last week that showed baby stopped developing at about 7 weeks but should have been 10 weeks . Started bleeding reasonably heavily next day but bleeding now very light. Scan yesterday showed that still not miscarried completely (but guessed this as this is my third miscarriage). Hospital has given me lots of advice/ painkillers and am due back in 2 weeks for another scan (and will be booked for erpc).

I would really rather not have an erpc if possible (having had precious erpc and assisted third stage don't want any more surgery if can avoid it). My question is has anyone else had slowing down of m/c which went onto happen naturally? If so what happened? Can I do anything to help or is it just a qwstipn f wait and see?

So sorry this is happening.

I had a different scenario, but a two stage miscarriage. I had an ectopic, bled for three days which didn't clear it, and twenty days later I started bleeding again (which still didn't clear it - so had to have methotrexate injection - which I doubt they'd give for non ectopic pregnancy).

I'd contact the hospital asap if I were you it's horrid sitting and waiting and not knowing.

Giving you a wee evening bump Poppy - it can be really quiet over the weekend sometimes.

Are you in much pain or discomfort?

poppy34 · 11/07/2010 22:21

Thanks domestic- no pain or anything (though tired) which makes me think that nothing happening as not even the least cramp or other sign.
