TTC naturally after mc, what CD do you start heparin?

Hi ladies,
what cycle day do you ladies start your progesterone and heparin injections, do you start at ovulation or when you get the bfp!

I thought you only start taking heparin once you are pregnant and have a known clotting disorder. I have never heard about taking heparin on a particular cycle day. Do you have a clotting disorder and is this what your doc advised?

it depends on what your doc decides.

my haematologist will prescribe 75mg aspirin from ttc and heparin/claxane from bfp.

nhs cons wont prescibe atall

private cons advised 150mg aspirin from day 14 of cycle (stopping when af comes or continuing if bfp) and heparin from bfp until at least 12 weeks.

have heard of others waiting to see hb at 6 wks before starting injections.

sh77 alot of consultants will prescribe heparin or claxane if clotting tests show no problems as there are alot of blood/clotting disorders that are not yet recognised.

not sure about progesterone hope someone who knows more will be along soon.

thanks mumatron - this is really good info. I have had 4 sets of clotting tests, all of which showed different results for the same factors.

sh my free protein s levels vary wildly, have been as low as 4 and as high as 134.

so i could have a clotting problem but then again i might not.

nhs cons wont treat me as my dp has sperm morphology issues, he thinks this is the reason for 4 mc in 2 years. despite the fact there is no evidence to support this.

that is the reason i ended up going private.

yes i am mthfr positive (clotting probs) so am advised to take heparin aswell a aspirin alongside othjer drugs but as i have tried before using the heparin once i got a bfp and it still didn't work i researched more on other sites and see that some clinics suggest you start the heparin befoer implantation so ya body is ready/well prepared for it. Just wondered if anyone else had tried this with success.
