But for how long after? I had erpc last monday but still bleeding, not heavy though I would like to try again but I have pcos and dont have a regular cycle. Waiting until after next period could be up to 4-5 months!!!

So sorry to hear about that. MC is not nice, but most of us will have had at least one by the time we complete our families.

From what I recall, you don't need to wait at all. Probably best to wait until you've stopped bleeding, to reduce any risk of infection, but when you are emotionally ready, you can start trying again. The main reason for waiting is to be able to date the pregnancy - but that can be done more accurately with a first trimester scan.

I've never heard that you are more fertile after a miscarriage!

I'd never heard it before either but I have read it on a few threads on here! thanks for your reply.

Yes, I've heard it and it happened to me.
I mc'd April 2008. 6 weeks later I found out I was 5 weeks pregnant!

The only reason they tell you to wait for your period is so they can work out dates etc.
I didn't wait to stop bleeding before having sex again.

I got pregnant within two months of my first miscarriage and four months of my second.

It could well be true. I had a mmc 23rd March last year only to conceive a month later. The beautiful result of this conception is lying asleep next to me as I type. I was lucky to get my first period 27 days after the mc.... and then we just went for it!

Good luck and stay positive. Things will get better.
