When to resume sex after miscarriage?

I had a natural MC 9 days ago. The bleeding is much lighter now (dark brownish). I have follow up scan on Mon to check there are no 'retained products'. Was just wondering if anyone knew if you should avoid resuming sex until all bleeding has stopped? Am not thinking about TTC yet, just want to feel close to DH again and resume normal life.

Hi, just noticed you've not been answered. I'm really sorry to hear about your MC. I found this on the NHS website, which does suggest you should wait until the bleeding has stopped.

It sounds as though it nearly has though, so shouldn't be too long to wait. You may find you have a strong emotional reaction either during or after you do have sex though, and I think that's perfectly normal.
