Help me get through this

5 weeks pregnant with dc3.

Lots of bleeding this morning.

Been to hospital they said very likely miscarriage but can't scan until tomorrow.

I'm totally unprepared for how upset this has made me.

Anyone tell me what will happen after the scan? Will I have to have any procedure?

i can't give you any advice on what will happen, but for what its worth you are not alone. i'm 7weeks and had severe bleeding starting on wednesday, i too am afraid to hope and as my epu was so busy i won't find out until tomorrow what has happened and whether i will have to under go any procedure.
i feel guilty for being upset, as my dd has been with us through this and doesn't understand why mummy and daddy are so sad. i feel as thogugh i'm letting her down by not enjoying what i already have, i have been miserable all weekend,and so emotional. But there is nothing wrong in being upset. Both myself and my husband had a good cry when it started, and even after the wait is over tomorrow and we know what has happened that upset will not go away. the shock and pain of losing somethng that you had, if only briefly, has to be felt.
The fact taht you have already got your dc makes no difference whatsoever. At the end of the day, as soon as anyone knows that they are pregnant, subonsciously we start to make plans and when things like this happen those plans are shattered.
my thoughts are with you and whatever happens stay strong and go easy on yourself.

Your DH sounds lovely- mine is not fab at expressing any emotion.

All seems well with me now but I'm on edge now and will be for a few months to come (at least)

All is fine for me too. Thank god for that little heartbeat. I really had so little hope. You're so right. I won't breathe easy until after february. But i value what i thought i'd lost that much more now. Have a great christmas x

they didn't give me a new due date. Said i'd have to wait until the 12 wk scan. I'll be 8 weeks on xmas day so I think I'm due sometime in first week August..
