I am supposed to be 8 weeks tomorrow, had some heavy bleeding last night and scan comfirmed this morning that baby hasn't made it. Preg sac and baby where still there though which shocked me as I thought after what i lost last night it wouldnt be...

So now waiting for it to happen...This is my 7th loss I think, the previous one before this was twins so 8 babies all in all. It's horrible. I do have two miracle boys as well

Good luck for your final scan Lunatic, i do hope it is clear as we can move on, if not then i guess an ERPC. Even though we are blessed with a lovely dd, we had a christmas card from a friend and a scan picture fell out. I am really made up for them as they have been trying for years to have a baby but it just brought everything home, and also at the same time my maternity exemption came which i cut up straight away. Loads of people have said these things happen etc but you cant put your emotions in a box and file them away, i still feel really sad. Reading some of the posts here on the miscarriage forum we are lucky that we do have a miracle dd and we are eternally grateful.

Ahh I'm not a Valleys girl, I'm a Liverpudlian moved here a few years ago to be with DP - now DH!

We are heading home for Christmas. Bit worried because over the last few days my mum has said some stupid idiotic things about the mc - but I know it's because she's never had to go through one. So I know she will be expecting me to be all happy which of course I will try to be for the boys more than anything.

We watched miracle on 34th street before and at the end where the little girl asks for a baby brother, DS1 said "maybe I can ask him for a baby sister" Broke my heart.

Thanks Julez and good luck with yours too. I had to untell everyone that i told which was a bit . That will teach me for telling everyone before the three month scan eh. Good luck to everyone on here, i hope that 2010 brings very good baby news. I am wanting everything to pass, i still have a clot left and if it does not pass by the next scan i will probably have a d/c and start fresh i hope. What do you recommend to help things pass, i know that my dd jumped on me last week and some more came out. Might hget her to jump on me some more, though i think that my bleeding has stopped now.

Julezboo · 20/12/2009 22:54

Piglet, I dont know what I could recommend tbh, i did alot of Friday with regards to being on my feet alot and things moved quite quickly after that BUT if you are still feeling drained and weak I wouldnt reccomend it I was in immense pain Friday night.

I am cramping again today, no more bleeding though so I don't know whats going on!

I have a hospital appt tomorrow for something unrelated then I plan to clean and get packed up ready for our journey on wed/thurs. Tues I have to go shoe shopping and sort out fancy dress costumes for boxing day and wed I am having my hair done and we have got DH's work ball.

Kinda good that I'm busy though keeping my head off the floor!

Piglet - I've also had to untell everyone, after two good scans we stupidley told the world!

Aww Julez thanks so much for the advice. I think that keeping busy really keeps your mind off things. I always stupidly thought m/c were somthing that happen to other people and not me. Hope that 2010 brings happiness to you all. I am dreading a d/c but would rather have it than leave what it is still in there.

jocesar · 22/12/2009 14:28

Hi guys, it's not a happy thread is it, but thanks very much for your support- it means a lot.

I've had 2 days of fairly light bleeding but I'm pretty sure the main event hasn't happenned yet. I just sooo want it over. My scan is on New Years eve. If there's anything left i'm going for an ERPC and then life can go on again.

What is the ERPC like how long does it take and can you come home on the same day, i am not looking forward to having one if i need one.

jocesar · 22/12/2009 20:33

I've read about it on mumsnet- sounds like is a short 10 min proceedure under GA. In and out the same day unless any complications. Mild cramping and light bleeding post op. Fairly safe proceedure with minimal complications. Hopefully!

Julezboo · 23/12/2009 09:23

Hey girls.

My bleeding is minimal now. I am staying happy for my boys but sometimes it hits me right in the face

Piglet - I have had 2 ERPC's, it's done nder GA, very quick, think I was in and out in 20 minutes. Home the same day and I coped with paracetamol afterwards. It's the quick option, although I did bleed a bit afterwards too.

lunatic - I hope your doing ok?

jocesar - I hope things are starting to move for you now.

I tried my dress on for the ball yesterday and whilst I had ballooned out a bit due to the pregnancy - now I'm not the dress looked stupid. DH is a star though, he drove 2.5 hours last night after work to my nearest d3ebenehams so I could get another.

Not looking forward to tonight at all though

Thanks jocesar and julezboo, i was dreading staying in hospital just want it over and done with. Thanks for all the support on here, it still hurts, i know that i have a happy and healthy dd and should be happy which i am, but seeing a pregnant woman or the Christmas card with the scan picture in it just brought it home

Julezboo · 30/12/2009 12:00

Hey all,

just had my scan this morning, they found some tissue left in there possibly attached to my section scar They are going to review with a consultatn and call me back around dinner time but it looks like i'll be having surgery anyway

Good luck for tomorrows scans xx

jocesar · 31/12/2009 11:08

Commiserations Julez. I'm in the same boat as I suspected. Have been bleeding for the past 10 days but obviously not enough! Had my scan this am and the sac is still intact. I had decided that surgery was the best option for me anyway so at least it will all be done with. Unfortunately due to work commitments (which I have to put above my health) I'm not booked in until Wednesday- hoping I'm not going to have a big bleed before then. also hoping that I get a decent surgeon who doesn't have a hangover on Wednesday. I understand that complications are rare but most complications are a result of bad surgical technique!

Thanks both.

I called the hospital after waiting all day yesterday for their call and they are sure I won't need surgery and I will be scanned again on the 7th

Hi Lunatic

Scan on the 7th still showed tissue, although low down and due to my history they are relucntant to go wading in the a D&C.

I am still bleeding, on and off heavily and my next scan is the 28th!

If they refuse surgery on the 28th I will dig my heels in and demand it is done. My last mc went like this and they left me from feb till november before the went in and took it out

Physically I feel ok tbh - the emtional side of things though with everything taking so long I lost it a bit the day of the scan and came home and spent the day crying.

It's my birthday next week too
