I'm not sure if i've miscarried or not.

i had a positive test on thursday, a fainter result on friday, an even fainter result on saturday and a negative on sunday, then i started bleeding. i would've been 4-5 weeks pregnant.

bleeding was a bit like a normal period but not as heavy with a few clots. bleeding stopped yesterday.

but, i still feel really pregnant! my boobs are agony and i feel really sick and tired but the test i did just now was still negative.

not sure what to do now. should i go to the gp or just wait and see what happens?

IME if you go to the GP they will probably tell you that until 6 weeks there's not much they / you can do. If you carry on bleeding and pass more clots I'm afraid you're probably experiencing a mc and I'm really sorry. However if nothing else happens then phone GP or MW, explain situation and they'll probably send you to an Early Pregnancy Unit for an ultrasound. Very probably an internal one ( just so that you're not too shocked!!!)

I found my local Early Pregnancy Unit really helpful (but I was at 10 weeks so easier to scan). You can self refer so if you've not already registered with a MW, you could try giving them a call for advice.

well i finally got through to the midwife at the gp surgery and she said it was most likely that i had miscarried and the symptoms will fade, if not then do another test in a weeks time.

i'm alright though, i knew in my heart on satuday when the result was fainter that it might not stick, but i hoped otherwise.

i've had complications from a mmc before so i'm going to keep an eye out for infection.
