MC in July - still no period - should I be worried?

Hi, I had a missed MC at 8 weeks at the end of July. Apart from some very minor spotting 4 weeks later (period or not?) I have not had a period since. I had 3 faint positive pregnancy tests last week but they are now showing negative but still no period. Its very confusing and frustrating, especially with the glimmer of hope that I was pregnant again. The doctor says I just have to wait another 2-3 months before he can do anything. I can't believe that i won't have a period by then, but then nothing would surpise me these days! Any experiences gratefully received!!!

Hi Lollymum1. Sorry to hear about your mc. I know how frustrating it is waiting for things to get back to normal and trying to conceive again. It sounds like you still had some pregancy hormones in your system if you were still testing positive recently but maybe now that you are getting negatives your period will come back soon. After my first mc it took over 6 months for my periods to return to normal so after my second mc I was prescribed clomid (had already been attending infertility clinc) to regulate my periods, even though I was ovulating. I know you can get injections to bring on your period if you're not ovulating so if nothing happens your GP could maybe refer you. Anyway, the treatment worked for me and I have since had 3 children and another 2 mc. Hope things work out for you soon.

hi, i miscarried at end of july at 8 weeks pregnant just like you and after 6 weeks when my period hadnt returned i seen the dr and it turns out im now 8 weeks pregnant!!!
ask your dr for a blood test cos i done home pregnancy test and some were neg nd som pos.
the blood test gave me a definate.
my drs tested me straightaway and sent me for a scan, cant see why your dr would make you wait. i told mine i was upset and confused because i wasnt sure if it was old pregnancy still in my body or a fresh one.

Thanks for your replies. I now know what is going on as I had a second miscarriage last night. I feel ok as I knew the tests had gone negative. But what upsets me most is that I feel the doctor didn't ever believe that I was pregnant and all along I wanted to make sure that I didn't go through what I did last time. Well I have now, except it was all in one go which is very scary and unpleasant. Having a scan tomorrow to make sure all gone/I'm ok. Feeling a bit let down by the system. xx

im so, so sorry, this is my biggest fear at the minute and just cant know how your feeling.
take it easy. you knew you were pregnant and thats what counts.
hope everything is well with the scan and all is well with you.
