I had only two pregnancies, all this year, which all ended as early loss at 6 weeks and 8 weeks.
We started our TTC journey in March and I got pregnant on the first try. Then it ended. We tried three cycles, and got pregnant again on the third try. So getting pregnant or being conceived doesn't seem to be the issue. For some reason, the pregnancy doesn't develop properly.
We sent the POC fron the recent pregnancy for genetic testing. Currently waiting for the result.
Now I want to investigate a bit further. My last blood test showed slightly elevated TSH and prolactin, which may have nothing to do with my losses but still possibility. And I read there are a huge array of things that can be tested.
Luckily, we have a private insurance through work that would cover initial consultation and diagnostic tests/imaging.
Dr. Raj Rai at St. Mary's is one of the specialists we can work with and I am aware that he is renowed consultant for recurrent miscarriages.
But I am not sure if we can get all the tests we want - specifically full RPL blood panel (hormones), blood clotting issue, sperm analysis and sperm dna fragmentation. I already know he wouldn't do immune issue testing which I might go elsewhere for.
I guess I am looking for personal experiences with Dr.Raj Rai and what kind of tests he would do. Would I at least be able to have a good portion of tests covered with him?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
