How long for pregnancy after miscarriage with retained products?

Just as it says really, I’m wondering how long it took for others to conceive again after a miscarriage with the complication of retained products? I had an MVA one month ago and unfortunately still have vascular retained products 2.5cm but I’m on provera to try and clear and if this is not successful I will be having a hysteroscopy to remove. Just wondering how long other peoples fertility returned and conceived after rpoc passed or were removed? Thanks x

Hi I had retained products after a d&c in Jan 2024, it was there for 9 weeks as missed on few ultrasound. I needed another d&c and pathology showed I have developed chronic endometritis due to retained products and then this lead to some immune issues. I went on the have three further miscarriages in a row after that due to the endometritis / immune issues and only conceived after proper antibiotics and immune treatment. Make sure they give you antibiotics, even after my second d&c which showed the chronic endometritis the nhs didn’t give me antibiotics or follow me up- even after another three miscarriages they didn’t offer me treatment or investigations to see if the chronic endometritis was still there. This is just my case and I was very unfortunate what all happened and this probably won’t happen with you but if your worried just advocate for yourself. I have a 9 week old now but the first miscarriage was Jan 2024 so it’s been a long journey but there is light at end of tunnel. I had two previous pregnancies in 2019 and 2020 with my son and daughter with no issues. My first miscarriage was just bad like j but I truly believe the length of time I had the retained products from that miscarriage caused the inflammation in my uterus and led the three miscarriage subsequently. With my final miscarriage I had retained products again which the nhs said just wait for it to pass naturally but I went privately and got hysteroscopic removal and got checked at same time for scarring and biopsies down- this diagnosed my issues and got me the proper treatment and I conceived the first month after the treatment.
